Levonelle® One Step is less likely to work if…

You have unprotected sex again after taking Levonelle® One Step
You have already had unprotected sex earlier in your menstrual cycle
You vomit within 3 hours of taking Levonelle® One Step. (Being Sick)
You were already pregnant when you took Levonelle® One Step
Another medication that you are taking may have reduced the effectiveness of Levonelle® One Step (e.g. certain anti-epileptic drugs and tuberculosis treatments)
You have a medical condition that stops Levonelle® One Step being absorbed properly, such as Crohn's disease

Levonelle® One Step will not work if you are already pregnant.

Levonelle® One Step should not replace regular, long-term contraception. Emergency contraception and advice on contraception is available free from your GP, Family Planning Clinic or NHS Walk-in Centre. Always read the label. Contains levonorgestrel. Not 100% effective. Levonelle® One Step can be used for up to 72 hours after unprotected sex, but it's more effective the sooner you take it.
