What can I expect to happen?

It is very unlikely that you will have any dramatic side effects from taking Levonelle One Step®. Most women can carry on with their day or evening as usual. If you do have a headache or feel sick, it will usually pass after a short while. It may help if you take something to eat and drink around the same time as you take the tablet.

It's worth knowing that Levonelle One Step® is the latest version of the emergency contraceptive pill and side effects in general, are less likely than with the earlier version.

After taking Levonelle One Step®, most women will have a normal period at the time they expect but sometimes, your period might come earlier or later than usual. It can also be lighter or heavier than usual. Or, you could have some 'spotting' until your next period.
