My contraception may have let me down...

Levonelle One Step® is meant for times when your usual method of contraception has let you down and you're worried that you might become pregnant. Perhaps you're on the Pill and you went away for the weekend and forgot to take the pack? Or maybe you're on the mini-Pill and you missed it by more than 3 hours?

Some of us are just unlucky. Very occasionally a condom can split or slip off during intercourse. Or you might be using a diaphragm and it develops a mysterious little hole (you know you should have replaced it ages ago, but somehow you never got round to it).

Perhaps you were tired and had sex when you weren't intending to. It can happen. The main thing is, if you are worried about getting pregnant and you don't want to be, you don't have to wait and worry. You can use Levonelle One Step®, the emergency contraceptive pill, as a back up.

The sooner you take it the better - ideally within 24 hours and at most 72 hours after unprotected sex.
